Journeys By Miranda respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) or when you otherwise provide personal data to us via other means (such as over the telephone) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Online and Telephone enquiry: When you submit an enquiry online or by telephone, or register to receive our email newsletter online we may ask for information such as your name and contact details. We will not subscribe you to our email newsletters unless you specifically opt-in. We will not share this data with any third parties.

What information do we collect about you?

Identity and Contact

  • Title and Name

  • Marital status, date of birth, nationality and gender.

  • Contact information including billing, delivery and email address. 

  • Telephone numbers 

Information relevant to the booking of your holiday such as:

  • Health and dietary information for your safety and well being

  • Passport Details

  • Next of Kin contact information

  • Insurance details

  • Details for In-country visa (if necessary)

  • Frequent flyer numbers

  • Additional traveller information

  • Method and means of payment (eg payment card details and bank account).  

We do not store any of your banking or credit/debit card information.

We will store this data and use it to contact you to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, provide you with details of, or changes to, our services.

What we do with the information you give us

The information we collect is the minimum amount necessary in order to prepare a bespoke travel itinerary and make essential tour reservations on your behalf. Your information will be stored for internal record securely for a period of five years. 

  • We will use your information to help us improve our services (eg requesting post trip feedback)

  • Special offers or newsletter subscription (which you may unsubscribe from at any time)

Third party disclosure of your information

  • Journeys By Miranda does not rent, sell or share the personal information we hold with any 3rd party organisations for the purposes of marketing products or services. Your data is never given to advertisers.

  • It is necessary for Journeys By Miranda to share your information with our contractors, service providers and suppliers in order to fulfil our business obligations as a tour operator.  The data shared (if relevant) is outlined above. We request that our local team delete this information 30 days after your tour ends.

All information is kept securely and can only be accessed by the employees of Journeys By Miranda. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 14th March 2024.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. Only with your consent we may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

Under the Right to be Forgotten you may ask us to delete all of your data that we hold.
