Lying off the southern tip of India, The Maldives are perfectly balanced on twenty-six coral atolls (or chain of islands) surrounded by crystal clear waters, secluded lagoons and an extravaganza of marine life.
Home to an extraordinary array of ‘pinch yourself’ luxury resorts and boutique hotels, its aquamarine-ringed coral islands set deep within the Northern Indian Ocean, are quite simply, paradise.
The Maldives are a place to reconnect. To unplug from the stresses of modern technology and embrace the Maldivian way of life. Days here pass in lazy, sun-drenched contentment, with evenings offering fine dining and romantic strolls by moonlight across soft white beaches. The warm, tropical breeze of these islands and their glorious sunsets can’t help but imbue a sense of calm and wellbeing. This is the place for being bare-foot – in fact the only shoes you’ll likely be wearing are the ones you travel in.
The Maldives are well known for adventures beneath the waves, with scuba diving and snorkelling absolute must do’s. Snorkel with whale sharks – the gentle giants of the ocean, and swim in warm waters among colourful fish, corals, and huge manta rays. The epitome of island paradise, The Maldives is about as close to barefoot luxury as you are going to get.

When to go
The best time to visit the Maldives is between December and April.
The climate is warm and tropical, with average highs at a consistent 29°C to 31°C year-round and average lows rarely falling below 24°C.
January to April are the driest months, with little rain and low humidity, making this peak season at the resorts. Temperatures are still warm from May to December, but rain is more likely and there is a risk of storms, that said they tend to be short sharp showers and you will still find long spells of bright sunshine
