India is a country close to my heart; the enduring friendships and experiences I’ve had travelling across India over the past fifteen years have given me an appreciation and love for the country like no other.
India is intense, unpredictable, extraordinary - there is no place quite like it on earth, and one visit barely scratches the surface. But you have to start somewhere and whichever region you decide to focus on, India is best approached by diving in headfirst.
With its rich history and vibrant culture, our professional guides will expertly navigate you through an array of sacred sites and temples, palaces and architectural gems weaving together spiritual belief, traditions, and landscapes. Cities are as distinct as the regional cuisine of which spices play a central role in Indian cooking, and you haven’t tasted true pleasure until you sample a cooling lassi (yoghurt drink) after a day of sightseeing. Vast areas of India are forest and the wildlife plentiful, including the opportunity for a tiger safari. There is nothing quite like seeing these majestic big cats up close in the wild.
India is all about the experience: whether it's trekking in the Himalayas, enjoying a festival at the top of a fortress, or rejuvenating body and mind on a soothing retreat there is something for everyone. And we’ve winkled out the best of the luxury accommodation options to choose from. We know India well, so trust us to create a truly memorable holiday for you here.

When to go
India is a year round destination, the size of the country introduces a diverse tapestry of climates. The best months for the majority of the country is from October to March, offering drier, warmer, and sunnier weather. Clear blue skies dominate this period, though Rajasthan can be cooler with potential fog in December and January. Moving into April and May brings increased humidity and the chance of thundery rainfall, but it is a great time for those keen on wildlife.
If you are interested in visiting June to September then Ladakh is at it’s best. Situated high in the Himalayan plateau, expect clear skies and temperate conditions.
Southern India’s season starts a little later, I would advise looking at November onwards for visiting India's southern states, once the rain and humidity has subsided.
“We cannot thank you enough for the supreme dream trip around Rajasthan. Our time was profoundly golden throughout. Thank you for the most majestic and miraculous of magic carpet rides.”
